SBR waterproofing coating is a styrene butadiene rubber latex used in concrete and plaster applications to improve bond strength, flexibility, and water resistance — applied as a bonding slurry or added directly into repair mortars and waterproofing mixes.
When concrete or plaster repairs fail prematurely, the cause is usually poor bond between old and new substrate, or a repair material that can't accommodate micro-movement in real structures. SBR latex addresses both — it improves adhesion to existing surfaces, increases tensile and flexural strength, and gives the hardened material enough flexibility to resist cracking under thermal and structural movement.
