Sika Antisol EWP White Pigmented Curing Compound for Concrete (20 kg)
In strong sun, a fresh concrete slab loses water two ways at once. It evaporates off the surface, and the heat soaking into the slab drives even more of it out, so on a hot day a clear curing film alone struggles to keep up. The slab can crack, dust and fall short of its design strength before it has properly hydrated. Sika Antisol EWP from Sika India is the white pigmented version of Sika's curing compound, made for exactly those conditions.
The white pigment is the point. As well as forming the usual paraffin film that seals water in, the coating reflects sunlight off the slab, so the surface stays cooler and far less water is lost to solar heat. It's a ready-to-use liquid you spray on once the surface water has gone, and it works against both the heat of hydration from inside the concrete and the sun coming down on it.
That makes it the curing choice for large exposed pours in hot and tropical conditions, like highways, runways, aprons, roof decks and canal linings, where the area is too big to water-cure and the sun is the main enemy. It meets ASTM C 309 Type 2 Class A, cuts plastic cracking and surface dusting, and gets the concrete to its designed strength without ponding or wet hessian.
For curing large concrete in direct sun, where holding the water in means keeping the heat out, Sika Antisol EWP is the white pigmented curing compound that does both with one spray coat.
