Dr. Fixit Bathseal Tape Self-Adhesive Bitumen Waterproofing Tape (1 roll * 24 pcs)
The leaks that start in a bathroom usually start where a pipe goes through the slab or where the floor meets the wall, because the cement around a PVC pipe never really bonds to it and water finds the gap. Dr. Fixit Bathseal Tape from Pidilite is made to seal exactly those weak points, wrapping the joint in a waterproof bitumen membrane.
It's a non-reinforced, twin-side self-adhesive bitumen tape, polymerised bitumen between two release films, so it sticks on both faces. Cold applied with no heating or activation, you wrap it around the pipe penetration or run it along the joint, and the bitumen-to-bitumen adhesion at the laps forms one seamless waterproof layer. It bonds well to concrete, metal, PVC and wood.
That makes it the detailing tape in wet-area waterproofing, sealing around pipes through slabs and masonry walls, wall-to-floor junctions, tile joints and corners in bathrooms, kitchens and other wet zones. Supplied in 10m by 100mm rolls, it goes down fast and seals the joints a coating alone would miss.
For the pipe joints and corners where bathroom leaks begin, Dr. Fixit Bathseal Tape is the self-adhesive bitumen tape that seals them watertight.
