On a wall that's about to be painted, the cracks are only half the problem. There are also the dips and undulations in the plaster that the topcoat shows up under side light, and filling the cracks with one product and leveling the surface with another is slow and leaves the finish uneven. Dr. Fixit Crack-X Powder is a cement-based, polymer-modified crack filler that does both, filling static cracks and leveling the surface in the same pass so the wall is ready for paint.

It comes as a powder you mix with water on site, and the consistency is yours to set. A two-to-one powder-to-water mix gives a smooth, buttery paste for skimming and leveling, while less water gives a stiffer mix that packs into deeper cracks and holds. Because it's cement-based with polymer in it, the cured fill has real strength and bonds hard to the plaster, and it dries non-shrink so the crack doesn't reopen along the edge.

It fills static cracks from around 3 to 5mm on internal and external walls, levels undulations on plastered and unplastered ceilings and walls before painting, and seals surface cracks on concrete roofs to keep rain from getting in. It's water resistant and weather durable, so it holds outdoors as well as inside, and once it has cured for 24 hours you can paint over it with any polymer-based paint.
