A joint that sits underwater in a reservoir, runs through a swimming pool wall, or takes chemical and fuel exposure is the hardest test a sealant faces. Most sealants soften, lose adhesion or break down under permanent immersion and chemical attack. Dr. Fixit Pidiseal PS 41G from Pidilite is a polysulphide sealant made for exactly those joints, where chemical and water resistance decide whether the seal lasts.

It's a two-part sealant based on a liquid polysulphide polymer. You mix the base with its curing agent and it cures by chemical reaction into a tough, flexible rubber that bonds strongly to the joint faces and moves with them. Polysulphide is what gives it the standout resistance to water, chemicals, ozone and weathering, so the seal holds up under permanent immersion and aggressive exposure that would degrade a standard sealant. As the gun grade, it's thixotropic and stays put in vertical joints without sagging.

That makes it the specification for water-retaining and exposed structures, reservoirs, dams, canals, culverts, swimming pools and tanks, along with expansion and construction joints in high-rise buildings, roof terraces, runways and bridges. It seals those joints hermetically, holds its tensile strength and elongation through movement, and stays serviceable across a wide temperature range.

For joints that stay wet or face chemicals and have to keep sealing, Dr. Fixit Pidiseal PS 41G is the two-part polysulphide sealant that holds where other sealants give out.
