Dr. Fixit Piditop 333 Non-Metallic Floor Hardener for Concrete Floors (25 kg)
Bare concrete floors don't hold up well to hard use. Forklifts, dragged loads and constant foot traffic wear the surface down, and it starts to dust and pit long before the slab underneath is anywhere near failing. Topping a worn floor later means a bonded screed that can lift. Dr. Fixit Piditop 333 from Dr. Fixit deals with it at the source, hardening the surface of the slab while the concrete is still fresh.
It's a non-metallic dry-shake hardener, a blend of cement, graded hard aggregates, polymer and additives. You sprinkle it onto the freshly placed concrete and float it in, so it fuses into the top of the slab as one monolithic surface instead of sitting on top as a separate layer that could delaminate. That bonded wearing surface develops around 80 percent more abrasion resistance than plain concrete, and it raises the floor's impact resistance so it takes heavy traffic.
That makes it a standard specification for industrial and commercial floors, warehouses, factories, workshops and parking areas, anywhere wheels and loads work the surface hard. Being non-metallic, it won't rust or stain the way a metallic hardener can, and it comes in grey, red, brick red, dark green and brown, so the floor can be hard-wearing and still have a finish.
For concrete floors that have to stand up to traffic and stay dust-free, Dr. Fixit Piditop 333 is the non-metallic floor hardener that builds the wear resistance straight into the slab.
