Sika Chapdur Coloured Non-Metallic Floor Hardener for Concrete (30 kg)
Plenty of concrete floors have to do two jobs at once. A shopping mall, a showroom or a restaurant floor takes constant foot traffic and the odd trolley or spill, but it also has to look like a finished floor, not bare grey slab. A plain power-floated surface dusts, marks and looks unfinished. Sika Chapdur from Sika India is the coloured floor hardener for that situation, giving the slab a hard-wearing surface and a finish in one pass.
It's a one-part, non-metallic mineral dry-shake hardener, preblended from cement, hard natural mineral aggregates, admixtures and pigments. Sprinkled and trowelled into the fresh concrete in two passes, it cures monolithically into a dense, coloured, wear-resistant surface that's part of the slab rather than a coating on top. The mineral aggregate gives it good abrasion and impact resistance, it dust-proofs the floor, and it stands up better to oils and grease than bare concrete.
That suits it to floors that are both worked and on show, warehouses and factories on the industrial side, and shopping malls, public areas, restaurants and museums where the floor needs to look right. It comes in shades like grey, green and red, so the colour is built into the wearing surface and stays as the floor wears, rather than sitting on top to scuff off.
For a concrete floor that has to be hard-wearing and look finished, Sika Chapdur is the coloured mineral hardener that delivers both straight off the slab.
