A roof leak rarely comes from the middle of a sheet. It comes from a lap, a flashing, a gutter joint or a crack, the detail points where two things meet. Patching those with a coating is fiddly and slow. Sika Multiseal AP from Sika India is the self-adhesive tape made to seal them fast, pressing straight over the joint to stop water getting in.
It's a self-adhesive, rubber-modified bituminous tape laminated with an aluminium foil on the top face. You cut it to length, peel the release film and press it down with a roller, and it bonds to most clean, dry, sound substrates without a primer. The aluminium facing gives it UV resistance and lets it be over-painted, and it stays weatherproof and flexible, applying even at low temperatures.
That makes it a quick fix and a lasting seal on roofs and sheet metal work, gutters, flashings, broken tiles, facade elements, ductwork and building cracks, and it's compatible with bituminous surfaces. It comes in grey in a 10m by 100mm roll.
