Fosroc Thioflex 600 Gun Grade Polysulphide Joint Sealant (6.5 kg)
A movement joint in a civil structure or a high-rise has to be sealed once and stay sealed, because getting back to it later is often difficult or impossible. If the sealant ages, cracks or loses adhesion, the repair means scaffolding, access works and downtime. Fosroc Thioflex 600 Gun Grade from Fosroc is the polysulphide joint sealant built for that long-term demand, holding its seal through years of movement where maintenance access is hard.
It's a two-component sealant based on a liquid polysulphide polymer. You mix the base with its curing agent, load it into a gun and apply it into the joint, where it cures to a tough, rubber-like seal that flexes with the joint's movement. The polysulphide chemistry resists petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and dilute acids and alkalis, and it ages well against weather extremes, so it lasts on exposed and fuel-prone joints. It bonds firmly to most primed substrates, from concrete to glass, aluminium and stainless steel.
That makes it a specified sealant on civil engineering and building work, movement joints in superstructures, basements and subways, brickwork and retaining walls, reservoirs, and heavily trafficked floor joints. It meets BS 4254 and ASTM C920, accommodates the cyclic movement these joints go through, and as the gun grade it handles vertical and general joints rather than only horizontal pours.
For movement joints that have to seal for the long haul, in structures where going back to fix them is costly, Fosroc Thioflex 600 Gun Grade is the fuel-resistant polysulphide sealant that holds.
